Helping trainee biomedical scientists across Scotland succeed

The NHS Scotland Academy is pleased to offer a new series of Accelerated IBMS Registration Training Portfolio (RTP) Workshops. These online workshops are designed to support trainee biomedical scientists in completing their IBMS RTP. They will run from October 2025 to January 2026.

Who are the workshops for?

These workshops are for biomedical science graduates from non-applied IBMS-accredited BSc (Hons) programmes (those without clinical placements) who:

  • Are completing their IBMS Registration Training Portfolio

What do the workshops include?

Each workshop focuses on a key part of the IBMS RTP and includes:

  • Live online sessions via Microsoft Teams
  • Self-guided learning on NHS Scotland Academy Moodle
  • Digital resources and templates to help build portfolio evidence
